We are a small family owned and operated business here in central Maryland. The upside to this is the easy access we have to DC, Baltimore and all that these cities have to offer. Unfortunately our close proximity to these places has created a need for our products even in the small towns like ours.

Life is full of irony, and ours is no different. While we intended to make this business one that serves our community and allows our neighbors access to the same types of items that police agencies across the nation have, we never thought that we would be part of local statistics. Our story is one that might motivate them to re-evaluate their own family's safety needs. On beautiful late summer afternoon our home was burglarized, making us part of the statistics. I can only tell you that it's not a pleasant feeling knowing that you choose a place to live based on its location, but nothing can make you safe unless you take action. It's a shame when you have to say "we were lucky that no one was home." Maybe next time we won't be so lucky, then what? That's where we come in. With our products we don't have to worry as much about the next time.

Our plan also includes the desire to give back to our community in some small way. While we were looking into different charities in our area, the decision of which one would benefit the most was made for us. Without going into the details we have a personal connection with the Maryland Chapter of the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation all over our site. We will donate a portion of every sale to this great charity that's fighting everyday to find a cure. This disease has become an epidemic among children around the world and with your help the Fight to Find a Cure could be over in 10 years .
